VCAM1(血管细胞粘附分子1,英文全称Vascular Cell Adhesion Molecule-1)是一种位于细胞表面的免疫球蛋白超家族成员,主要表达于活化的内皮细胞、巨噬细胞和某些上皮细胞。它的生物学功能是通过与免疫细胞表面的整合素受体(如VLA-4,即α4β1整合素)结合,介导白细胞与血管内皮的粘附,从而促进炎症反应中白细胞的迁移和浸润。VCAM1在慢性炎症、动脉粥样硬化、自身免疫性疾病和肿瘤转移等病理过程中起关键作用。VCAM1的作用位点集中在炎症或损伤部位的血管内皮,通过信号转导调控免疫细胞的募集。若VCAM1发生突变(如启动子区多态性),可能导致其表达异常,进而影响炎症反应的强度,例如某些突变与类风湿性关节炎或哮喘的易感性相关。VCAM1过表达会加剧炎症性疾病或促进肿瘤细胞转移,而降低表达(如通过抗体阻断或基因沉默)可减轻炎症损伤或抑制癌细胞扩散。VCAM1属于免疫球蛋白超家族(IgSF),该家族共性为含有免疫球蛋白样结构域,参与细胞间识别和信号传递。目前VCAM1的中文译名较统一,但需注意其别名CD106(分化簇106)在免疫学中的使用。

This gene is a member of the Ig superfamily and encodes a cell surface sialoglycoprotein expressed by cytokine-activated endothelium. This type I membrane protein mediates leukocyte-endothelial cell adhesion and signal transduction, and may play a role in the development of artherosclerosis and rheumatoid arthritis. Three alternatively spliced transcripts encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene. [provided by RefSeq, Dec 2010]
