Caryotypes of 22 women with histories of miscarriage, stillbirth, or deformed offsrping, and of 14 of their husbands, were studied. In 2 women structural autosome aberrations were found. In 1 case d/d translocation was observed, while in the other, superfluous material was noted on the short arm of the G chromosome. It was concluded that parental strucutral chromosome aberrations can be demonstrated only in a small portion of cases of repeated miscarriage, but is recommended that caryotyping be carried out in such cases.
