摘要:: Cancer therapies utilizing chemotherapy or radiotherapy are constrained by risk of intestinal stem cell death. In this issue of Cell Stem Cell, Qiu et al. report that Puma deletion prevents intestinal degeneration following DNA damage, thus offering a target protein for the design of enhanced cancer treatments.
