摘要:: There is much enthusiasm for cancer screening in the United States. In Germany, promotion of cancer screening is growing, often including biased and misleading information. Consequently, the risks of cancer and death from cancer are overestimated, while the harms of screening such as false positive results and over-treatment are underestimated. However, high-quality evidence-based information on breast cancer screening and colorectal cancer screening is available in Germany.
