摘要:: Colorectal cancer is very common and is closely related to patient age. After age, the second most common risk factor is family history of colon cancer. In fact, it is one of the most hereditable cancers. Colon cancer is preventable and screening has demonstrated efficacy in the reduction of both the incidence and the mortality from colorectal cancer. Several screening techniques are currently available, including endoscopy and nonendoscopic-based techniques. Screening strategies vary according to the individual risk of colon cancer. This paper will focus on the screening recommendations for patients with high-risk colon cancer.
